Marvin Morgan's injury-time winner puts the Ding back in the top half of the table and ensures Garry Haylock's men remain unbeaten at The Warren under his stewardship.
Lewes have been something of a bogey side in recent seasons for the Ding but the first half had little to impress from either side. Yeading came closest to breaking the deadlock just before the break first with Liam Collins' low near post cross cleared and moments later Ben Hudell curling a shot on his weaker right foot straight into the arms of Steven Williams.
Yeading showed more desire after the break and began to dominate possession without clear-cut chances. Sam Keevil and Bradley Quamina both had goalbound efforts denied, the first by team-mate Goulding's un-timely run, the latter by the deflecting studs of a defender. At the other end Paul Seuke was in good form to command his box and mid-way through the half denied Andrew Drury's low near post cross that his defenders cleared.
Goalless draws at The Warren are very rare – the last was August Bank Holiday – so a late goal would not have surprised many. It was solo effort from Morgan two minutes into stoppage time. Powering into the right side of the box, he beat Lewes Captain, Stephen Robinson before side-stepping Williams and slotting home.
Lewes will be disappointed at defeat. Richard Goddard was forced into a number of cover tackles as Lewes threatened to expose the Ding with pace on the break. They also should have taken the lead themselves moments before the goal when Gary Holloway headed off target when well placed. They might have grabbed an equaliser almost immediately after the Ding goal but Seuke's one handed clawing save was of the highest calibre and his defence cleared their lines.
Yeading: Seuke, Allen-Page, Everitt, Cadmore, Goddard, Keevil, Collins, Quamina (Bowden-Haase 86), Goulding (Wright 82), Hudell (Patterson 65). Subs not used: Blackmore, Barima
