It was 21 February a Tuesday night when a single goal from Dave Clarke saw the Ding beat Histon 1-0. Nearly six months on Yeading notched their next competitive home win and did it in style over Bognor Regis Town.
Marlon Patterson making his Ding debut nearly made an immediate impact in the opening minutes with a free-kick that set out Yeading's stall.
Marvin Morgan was to tease the visiting defence all night and on ten minutes cut inside down the left only to whistle his shot high and wide of target.
While Yeading dominated, there were few clear cut chances, Nevin Saroya heading just over from a Liam Collins corner and Jeff Goulding dipping an effort just over the bar ahead of the break.
Bognor however had even less to show up front although Delroy Preddie needed to be alert eleven minutes after the break to tip over a free kick from the edge of the box.
Almost immediately at the other end Yeading nearly broke the deadlock with Nathan Bowden-Haase connecting with his head to Nevin Saroya's free kick from midway inside the Bognor half, but the effort just fizzing past the post.
On Sixty-six minutes Yeading got the luck they deserved. Jeff Goulding broke into the box and under pressure form a defender was clipped, to earn a spot kick. Captain Saroya calmly slotted the penalty low to the goalkeeper's left to put the Ding ahead.
The goal gave Yeading a massive boost in confidence and from then on in the result rarely looked in real doubt. Yeading's attcking build-up gained further fluidity and pace and it was no surprise ten minutes later that the Ding extended their lead.
It was more excellent work down the left by Marlon Patterson who beat defenders and got a byline cross in that was perfect for Goulding to stoop and head home inside the near post from the front of the six yard box.
